Eric Stricker, PLS
The roots of Stricker Surveying began back in 1994 when Eric traveled from his hometown in Eastern Oregon to the big city of Denver Colorado to survey for his uncle. Eric grew up wanting to become an architect, but just one summer working outside surveying in Colorado changed that. He was hooked! Eric spent the next few summers surveying for small companies in Baker City, Oregon and Philomath, Oregon while pursuing his degree in Civil Engineering. In 1998, Eric once again realized that land surveying was his calling and went to work full time for a small full-service Engineering firm in Baker City, Oregon. His new goal was to someday become a Professional Land Surveyor. In Eastern Oregon, Eric worked on a very diverse set of projects including land surveying, civil engineering, structural engineering, materials testing, construction inspection, and water rights. In 2006, Eric obtained his Oregon Land Surveying Intern certificate and eventually moved to the Boise area to work for a full-service Civil Engineering firm in Nampa. In 2010, Eric achieved his longtime goal and obtained his Professional Land Surveyor license in Idaho. 2015 brought a big change to Eric's surveying career. Driven by the desire to have a more flexible schedule allowing him to coach high school baseball, Eric took a Geospatial Technical Sales Representative position with a local Trimble Authorized Dealer. This position kept Eric very involved in the survey profession and also let him develop a new set of skills such as exceptional customer service and very deep understanding of the use of Trimble surveying hardware and software. In October 2018, Eric had a desire to return to active practice in land surveying, prompting him to start his own business, Stricker Surveying in Payette, Idaho.
